A Child's World
Joan outdid herself this time! She embroidered many different vignettes depicting a child's favorite things to do...jumping on the bed, a sleepover, fishing, and so much more. SHe then combined it with a huge assortment of bright prints. What a beautiful job of combining the idea, the embroidery, the fabrics, and the workmanship is precise, as always!

Great job, Stephen!! Watch out, John Flynn and Ricky Timms!!

Bloomin' Nine Patch
Dorinda worked hard to finish this quilt, and it was worth it. Notice how the colors blend into one another, but not really...because of the use of value as well as color. The quilting is by Jennifer McCann, and really finishes off this quilt beautifully.

Mufasa
Created by MaryAnn Titus, this quilt evolved as it was sewn together. Combining many different fabrics and using black fabric that she discharged with bleach for the background makes this quilt more interesting. Throughout this quilt is the following: And Mufasa said, "Remember who you are."No matter what transcends, on this ground you are the ancestor, the descendent. Rising inside of you, past or future, all ways fleshed in the presence, your thoughts. Why not break into light? A tree radiant inside you extends its arms from the trunk of your soul. Inside your landscape tilled wide, its sky the brow of a god calling you out.

Chunk of the Month

Joan Keltner's Chunk of the Month looks similar to Dee's, but her embellishments are different, and her "dangles" dangle from a different place. A great example of what we wanted: different looks from the same colorway, same club!!
