Audition your quilt blocks by placing them on the Center Stage Design Wall. Measuring 72in X 72in, it’s small enough to find an open wall, but large enough it can handle most throw sized quilts as well as the centers of larger quilts before the borders are added. Choose a wall surface that is free from any protruding elements such as windows, doors, moldings, etc.
Gypsy Quilter recommends using self-adhesive wall clips (3M) for hanging tapestries and posters to hang your design wall at a height that is comfortable for you to reach. I use push pins!!
Smooth your blocks onto the design wall with your hand to explore various layouts for your project. Use a lint roller to remove stray threads when needed. Toss in the dryer on a low heat setting to remove dust and to re-fluff the fibers that help “hold” your blocks to the Design Wall. We travel with ours to use at retreats. Easy to put up and take down.
