Frixion Fineline Markers are useful in marking fabrics: heat erases the lines!
Originally developed for use on paper (oddly, by a quilter who wanted to help her college nephew be able to erase marks in textbooks to resell!), quilters soon discovered them. The ink consists of two parts: a clear layer that marks the line and a second colored layer that you can see. Heat removes the colored layer but not the clear layer. Hence this warning: do a test if you’re marking quilting lines out in the open. We tested various colors in the store, and Black on 100% cotton erased the best.
I use them frequently to mark a registration point in bag making, transferring pattern marks, marking on the BACK side of the fabric. Frixion Pens are a great tool for your notions bag!
